Marie Velin Langlamet

Marie Velin-Langlamet started her musical journey playing the piano, soon adding the cello. Early on she won numerous prizes at Jugend Musiziert, both as a pianist and cellist. 

In 2010 she was accepted to the Julius Stern Institut of the Universität der Künste Berlin in the class of Matias de Oliveira Pinto, before studying with Jean-Guihen Queyras in Freiburg, where she completed her bachelors degree in 2021. 

The French cellist is currently studying for a master’s degree with Sebastian Klinger at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Hamburg. She took part in masterclasses with Martin Löhr, Jérôme Pernoo and Young-Chang Cho.

Ms. Velin-Langlamet performed in many chamber music constellations. Her first experience as a soloist was when she performed Édouard Lalo’s Cello Concerto at the Konzerthaus Berlin with the Landesjugendorchester Berlin.
